‘Pour my peace into a bottle’, said my God.
‘For when the storms come…’
Today, I put my finger to the wind,
and took several swigs
– for good measure.*
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 4:7)
* Dedicated to Aimee.
Thank you for this post Al, it’s timely here xx
I’m glad xx
So beautiful, Ali! Thank you and God bless you. Now, time for me to unstop that bottle!
God bless you! We’ll have a ‘drink’ together 🙂
Beautiful words. They are reassurance in a world that is full of unrest.
Thanks Janna x
So nice on a day that peace is needed.
Praying you’ll continue to receive His peace as needed, Robin.
Great post, before I came by your blog I had read this article on peace on another blog. It’s a testimony to God’s peace that passes understanding, and peace in the storm.

Awesome – thank you Thomas, I’ll take a look. I love how God speaks us to us again and again on the same theme, just to remind us.
Thomas, thank you so much for linking my blog here. I am glad that it stood out for you to share it. GodGirl, thank you so much for your post. God really is the peace in the midst of our storms. I hope the post Thomas shared is helpful to you.

definitely needed this
I’m glad 🙂
Loved your poem! Wouldn’t it be nice to bottle God’s peace. Most certainly it is priceless. In this crazy world of ours God knew how much we needed it and thankfully it is available anytime, anywhere that we can just be still long enough to focus on Him alone. Praying for you “the peace that passes understanding” in your workplace and at home.
