Valentine’s Day produces a range of reactions. Just like other widely celebrated occasions, it can bring joy, heartache or indifference, depending on a person’s current ‘status’ or life situation.

Rather than letting our emotions dictate our lives, let’s remember to keep on loving others actively and purposely. Christ gives us the strength to love, and the ability to be loved – on Valentine’s Day, and every other day.

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma” – Ephesians 5:1-2
