God is steering the ship

What plans and dreams and visions are formulating in your mind at the moment? Which direction would you like the ‘boat’ of your life to head?

I find it so reassuring to know that although God gives me choices, and there are consequences of those choices, he is ultimately steering the ship.

Even if someone else has tried to hijack our ship, or something tragic and unexpected has happened to us, God is still steering, turning things around for our eternal good. He has a plan.

Hold on tight to those dreams, but don’t forget to bring them before your Captain. Allow his wisdom to guide you forward as you follow in his ways and rest in his provision, every step of the way.

    I love this truth you have shared and I totally agree! I don’t need to be concerned because He has a plan for my life and He is the One steering the ship! Through pain, through trials, through, confusion, through my dumb mistakes, He is still steering the ship to the place He has planned for me!

      Absolutely, Rolain! You can entrust your future, with all its complexities, to your creator God who knew you before time began, and who knows the beginning from the end. Keep trusting in his steering/ navigation abilities… God bless,

    It has taken me a while to fully accept the truth that God is steering the ship. (I’m a little stubborn:). It is a liberating fact, isn’t it? Thanks for the reminder!

      It’s a hard one to get our heads around when we tend to want to be in control. But it’s so good to know our lives and futures are in God’s hands.

    This verse is one I often pray…Lord, I’m planning my way, but please direct my steps, just as your word says. Lead me according to your will, not my own.

      What a good prayer – it’s so good to remember that we can make all the plans in the world, but God will direct our steps.

    No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. God sees your resolve. He sees your determination. And when you do everything you can do, but still didn’t succeed that’s when God will steps in and start steering the ship and do what you can’t do.
