Love is a verb

image

“Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3 ESV

As God’s kids we are called to put love into action.

When we deeply know the love of God we are compelled to share that love with others.

Do you know God’s love, deep down? And who is he calling you to share it with today?

  1. This verse has always hit me in the head several times. I mean I am an easy going, loving person. I always like expressing love to others by words and actions but there are people out there who don’t know what love really is. And there are some who only express with words because that’s how they were raised. Sad. Isn’t it? And you know what’s crazy? As for our human nature it is easier to hate someone than to rather someone. Why? Well, because it’s easier to not get to know them, it’s easier to put yourself higher than they. Loving someone takes time and effort. 🙂 But the outcomes of love is beautiful and life changing. 🙂 Great verse! 😀

    1. Well said, Sayl. It is easier to think we’re better than others, and love is hard to express when we haven’t been shown how. We really need God’s help to know how to do it right.
And I agree – it does change lives when we learn how to love. Blessings,
      Ali

  2. I was praying something quite similar this morning only that I asked that my words not be derogatory but to live a life that lifts up others as I take bad thoughts captive and submit them to Christ (based on 2 Corinthians 10:5).

Blessing to you this day! 🙂

    1. Taking our thoughts captive is so important – it’s so easy to allow ourselves to judge others, or think we’re better. But it’s great that you could submit your mind to Christ and allow him to reshape your prayers and words. God bless, Lizzy!
