Happy Mother’s Day (?).
Whatever this day brings up for you, just remember to breathe. It’s all going to be OK.
Whether your experience of ‘mother’ has been positive, negative, or somewhere in-between, remember that God is the nurturer and carer that exceeds them all. Whether your experience as ‘parent’ has been positive, negative, or somewhere in-between, remember that God holds you in his arms in those moments it all falls apart. He sees.
As his child he cherishes you, dotes on you, adores you.
You are his.
And if you have children, they are his also.
We are covered by an eternal love that knows no bounds.
Rest in that today, and surrender your children – or the people in your care – to him also…
Praying a blessing on you today…
“But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content…” (Psalm 131:2)
“In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye, like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft.” (Deuteronomy 32:10-11)
Mother’s Day is one of a few days that I think are over-rated. But hey, that is just me. Thanks for the reminder that He is always there, and never changes.
I agree Betsy! Yep. So grateful for that!
Thank you for covering us with His blessings this Mother’s Day! God bless you!
Thank you for reading it Debbie, and hope the day was filled with beautiful moments for you 🙂
