What are you wearing today?

What are you wearing today?

The writer of Colossians encourages us to wear “compassion (or mercy), kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience”.

These aren’t usually hanging up, front and centre, in my wardrobe.

Instead, I am quick to ‘put on’ judgment, unkindness, pride, and impatience.

Lord, help us to make the right choices today as we come before you. As your beloved children, help us to love others as you love us…

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

  1. I struggle with patience but it n my walk of faith, am learning to trust God’s timing. I write about being a gentle witness on my blog. Thank you for sharing your walk of faith! Let us pray for kindness in our hurting world.

  2. Good words to remember as of late especially here in the States. We are doing a sermon series at our church that is pretty much focused on Colossians 3:12 titled The Others. Really makes me think. Way too often we ‘put on’ judgment, unkindness, pride, and impatience when we should be doing just the opposite.
