He died once and for all. It is finished.

Do you ever stop to recognise that Jesus died for your sins once and for all?

In dying on the cross, Christ, in his perfection and innocence, paid the price for all our stuff-ups, mistakes, and omissions.

One event in history wiped our slates clean.

Then Jesus, after he died, actually rose again from the dead to show he was truly the Son of God.

He proved he had victory over sin – and as his children we can claim this victory too.

We don’t have to be defeated by our sin and shame and guilt.

Christ died and rose again once – and once only – for you.

For me.

It is done.

It is finished.

And we can actually share in his victory.

“Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God, when his body was put to death and his spirit was made alive.”

  1. Funny “coincidence”. I just dropped my children off somewhere when this post came through. We had just finished discussing that Jesus was fully God and fully man and what He did on the cross was it … Job done … Once and for all! That no one would be required to die for all of mankind ever again because He did a thorough and perfect job as a thorough and perfect man/God.
Thank you for your post and blessings!
    God is Good!

    1. Wow, that’s incredible timing! Talk about God reinforcing a truth 🙂 That’s awesome you got to have that conversation with your kids.
I’m so grateful we can celebrate the finished work of Christ. It’s done!

  2. I’m thankful that God doesn’t not accept us based on what we do. Salvation comes by trusting and believing Jesus.
It’s finished. All we have to do is believe and walk in it.
