Sometimes we just need an eternal perspective.
We need to be reminded that this life is not all there is.
It’s easy to believe, like most people, that ‘life is not a dress rehearsal’ and that you only live once.
So eat, drink, and be merry!
But the fact is, as Christians, we don’t only live once.
Yes, we only live this life once – but there is in fact a whole world waiting for us beyond this fractured life, free of tears, death, and mourning.
A heavenly world which celebrates the victory Jesus won for us in his resurrection.
A new earth which restores what was broken, including us, his kids.
A world in which we have the chance to live again, in the joyful presence of our God, for all eternity.
Isn’t that worth waiting for?
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
