What’s your life source when things get tricky?

I know my first instinct isn’t always to draw close to God.

It’s often to draw close to other things that distract me.

These distractions might be:

• Mindless scrolling of my phone or watching TV
• Shopping or
• Eating…

But he calls me to come to him as the primary life source.

It’s like a toddler rolling over and looking at the TV instead of nestling next to their parents.

They are looking to a screen as their life source instead of you.

God wants us to look to him for comfort instead of the idols that will never satisfy.

God is never bothered by our closeness.

He delights in our desire of him.

He offers warmth and care and intimacy to his beloved children.

He’s our vital life source and he loves when we acknowledge that.

Why not choose to draw close to God today by reading His word and talking to Him?
