“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.” (Psalm 84:10)
Lord, there’s no place I’d rather be than here with you, covered by your grace and love. ‘Home’ is wherever you are, Lord Jesus, and you have granted me entry into your royal courts; made me a part of your family. Thank you for carrying this weary wanderer back. One day with you is better than a thousand days outside your heavenly walls. In you I discover the kind of freedom, purpose and joy that nothing in the world can match. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

* Today marks the first in a series of blog entries which include a bible verse or quote, and a simple, personal prayer to follow. Praying you’ll be blessed by these.

Thank you so much Ali, for this beautiful ministry! Your Jesus heart is showing. Going to add the song to go with this verse, if that’s okay. God bless you bunches!
Thanks for your encouragement Debbie! I’m glad. It’s a wonderful verse isn’t it, and thanks so much for sharing the song. I just spent some time listening to it and it was so good to let it soak in and allow the verses to minister further to me 🙂
When I saw the Psalm referenced, I immediately thought of a worship song sang in church – Debbie posted it 🙂 Beautiful prayer. I’m looking forward to reading your series!
Yes, I’m glad she did as it gave me the chance to reflect on the words further 🙂
Thank you Janna! Will keep em coming.
I love that you are doing this, Ali. And thanks so much for letting us come along. And you are so right…Jesus is our HOME no matter where we are or how far we roam. Blessings xxoo
Thanks for your encouragement Sheila! Amen. It is a reassuring truth that we can always be found in Him. Blessings to you and Michael today.
