His treasured possession…

“For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” (Deuteronomy 7:6)

Dear God,
Thank you that through the line of Abraham you produced a people, Israel, who would be yours. Thank you that out of that lineage came Jesus Christ, who would produce a people marked as your treasured possession. Thank you that you treasure me! You dote on me in fact… Because of what Jesus did, you have covered over my sin and failure and granted me all the rights and privileges of your royal family, set apart to grow in holiness and bring you glory. Wow…
Your daughter, who delights to be yours…

  1. I remember telling my son when he was eight,”God made you the HE wanted you to be, and if you’re good enough for God, you’re good enough for everybody else. This post reminded me of that moment.

    1. Beautiful Anissa… how blessed is your son to hear that from his Mommy. And how blessed we are to be ‘good enough for God’ because of what Jesus has done. Thanks heaps for dropping by and being an encouragement.

  2. Beautiful prayer! I tend to get so wrapped up in my shortcomings, that I forget I could actually be His treasured possession. This reminder makes me smile πŸ™‚
