Dear God,
Thank you that through the line of Abraham you produced a people, Israel, who would be yours. Thank you that out of that lineage came Jesus Christ, who would produce a people marked as your treasured possession. Thank you that you treasure me! You dote on me in fact… Because of what Jesus did, you have covered over my sin and failure and granted me all the rights and privileges of your royal family, set apart to grow in holiness and bring you glory. Wow…

I remember telling my son when he was eight,”God made you the HE wanted you to be, and if you’re good enough for God, you’re good enough for everybody else. This post reminded me of that moment.
