We’ve been living in our house for five years.
It’s a two-storey house.
It has windows high up on the side wall as you walk in.
The windows have shutters, and a string attached to open them.
Only yesterday – after five years! – I stretched to pull the blinds open with the string.
When I did, light flooded in.

Why had I lived in the ‘dark’ for so long?
I guess it didn’t occur to me to change anything.
But I’m so glad I did!
Here’s a reflection question for today…
What ‘window shutters’ in your life have you been keeping closed?
And what would prompt you to open them?
