Have you truly absorbed the fact that someone has died for you?
Someone has suffered in your place.
Someone has bled and cried and screamed in pain for you.
For all of us.
Me and you.
No one is excluded.
God – perfect God – died for all.
He died out of sheer love for us.
His son has died physically and spiritually and cried out:
My God my God, why have you forsaken me?
He has taken the horror of our guilt on himself.
There is nothing more to be paid.

May the Holy Spirit help us understand and remind us of the central point of our faith – that Christ died for all and rose again.
To know Christ has died for all people changes our whole life.
His death for our sins is central to our faith – and his resurrection is his single greatest triumph.
And this becomes our triumph too.
When you get the fact that God loves you, the only response is to love him in return and be instruments for his purposes.
I need to be willing for him to use me, take me, and put me to work.
When we are gripped by the love of Christ we want to share that with others.
Everything we do grows out of the love of Christ.
Even when we think we’ve gotten to the bottom of Christ’s love we’ve only dipped our toe into the water.
He loves each of us, no matter where we’re at, and he uses us to share his love with others.
Will you accept his love today?
