You are not the sum total of what you wear.
You are not the sum total of the reading on the bathroom scales.
You are not the sum total of the result you got in the HSC.
You are not the sum total of texts you got today.
You are not the sum total of what others have said or are saying about you.
You are not the sum total of how many likes you got on that selfie, as awesome as it might have been.
You are not the sum total of social events on your calendar.
You are not the sum total of how many people said they liked your latest blog/talk/ Facebook share.
You are not the sum total of how happy your children are, or how well your son or daughter is doing at school.
You are not the sum total of how much you achieved today.
You are not the sum total of what your parents say about you behind your back.
You are not the sum total of your past mistakes.
In fact, you’re not a mathematical equation at all.
You are flawed, yes โ but beautiful.
You are loved by the God of the universe.
You have breath in your lungs and dreams to be discovered.
Your life has promise, even if it doesn’t always feel like it.
As a child of God, you have a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and can look forward to an inheritance that will never perish, spoil or fade…
You are not the sum total of everything you did or didn’t do today.
You are not what you do โ but who you are: and you’re much braver and stronger and smarter than you think.
You are amazing… and you’ve GOT this.
That made me smile – thank you!
I’m glad! God bless.
Awww I love this
Thanks Neli!
Well done. For the record, “you are amazing” – and strangely, wonderfully, this says more about the One who made you this way than it says about you.
Thanks Rusty! And very true! We are made in his image ๐
Just what I needed today, thanks for the encouragement.
I’m so glad ๐
You had me at “You are not the sum total of what others think about you”. Such a needed statement today, whether it is our own vain imaginations or other’s speculations about us, we are complete in Christ, accepted and loved. Thanks for this post!
Well said! And true: so glad we are complete in Him and Him alone. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you – you as well!
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
This is very beautiful ๐ Blessings
Thank you and God bless!
