Every day is a lesson in our own limitations.
We learn how fragile we are; how vulnerable.
Every tear, every sigh, every careless comment…
All reveal our imperfect reality.
We walk through a broken world.
A world not yet redeemed (not fully, anyway).
‘Perfection’ is elusive.
We see our mistakes.
Yet, we can be comforted by this:
We are “perfect in Christ”.
In God’s eyes, you are complete in him.
You are accepted as his beloved child.

And there is a second perfecting yet to come.
One day, every stain of sin will be removed from us.
From the world.
We’ll be presented without fault – perfect – before God.
We’ll be clothed in Christ’s righteousness.
We’ll be truly complete in Jesus.
Only then will we understand the height and depth of our salvation.
How amazing our Saviour is…
Are you excited by this hope?
Broken as we are, one day all will be restored for those who love Christ.
Dark as this world is now, the light will shine brighter than we could imagine.
All will be new.
Made perfect in Christ.
Christ’s light shines out of us.
